Does Chubby Squirrel brew its beer in Fairfax?
Yes. Chubby Squirrel is a production brewery and brewpub at 10382 Willard Way in Fairfax City. Our house beers are brewed on-site on our 3-barrel system.
When did Chubby Squirrel open?
We opened in 2018 as Fairfax City's first brewery and brewpub.
Does Chubby Squirrel serve food?
Yes. We run our own brewpub kitchen with burgers, wings, poutine, pierogies, cheese curds, pretzels and rotating specials. The menu is familiar pub comfort food with influences beyond a standard American bar menu.
What if I don't drink beer?
You are still in the right place. We offer wine, mead, rotating boozy slushies, non-alcoholic beer including Athletic selections, sodas and other zero-proof choices. Availability rotates.
Can I take Chubby Squirrel beer to go?
Yes. Ask at the bar about crowlers and growler fills of available house beers to-go.
Is Chubby Squirrel a Washington Spirit bar?
Yes. Chubby Squirrel is an official member of the Washington Spirit Bar Network, which connects Spirit fans with partner bars and breweries for matches and club events.
Is Chubby Squirrel family friendly?
Yes. Families and kids are welcome. We also have pinball and an intentionally relaxed neighborhood-pub atmosphere.
Can I host a private event?
Yes. We are especially well suited to casual groups of roughly 25–60 for company happy hours, team parties, birthdays, neighborhood gatherings and similar events.

Free parking is available in Courthouse Plaza at 10382 Willard Way.
Is Chubby Squirrel near George Mason University?
Yes. The brewery is in Fairfax City a short drive from George Mason University's Fairfax campus, making it an easy off-campus option for faculty, staff, alumni and student groups.
Are dogs allowed?
Dogs are welcome on the outside porch. Service animals are welcome inside.
