Owner and head brewer Boyd Harrison earned his MTA from George Washington University in 2015. Chubby Squirrel is an independent Fairfax City business that welcomes the Mason community.

Faculty, staff, alumni, graduate groups and university programs have used Chubby Squirrel as a casual off-campus meeting place. Free parking makes the logistics considerably easier.
